Welcome to my website.

I am an experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor with a practice near Wadhurst in East Sussex.

My main counselling approach is Psychodynamic but I do incorporate techniques and styles from other approaches when it seems appropriate - for example art therapy, behavioural techniques etc

I am also a painter working mainly in oils; some examples of my work are on this website - please click on the art link if you would like to see more.

Psychodynamic Counselling stresses the importance of the unconscious and past experiences in determining current behaviour. There is importance placed on the dynamics between the client and therapist to help to understand the clients present problems. Dream work can sometimes be an important part of the therapy.

I adhere to the BACP code of ethics, this includes confidentiality issues.

Cost
£35 - £40 negotiable per session, including assessment.

The initial appointment is the assessment session. This is to provide an opportunity for us to meet and decide whether counselling is suitable for you.

The initial session is 1 hour, subsequent sessions are 50 minutes.
